In Honor of My 100th Post...

100 random things about me...

1.  The best decision I've ever made was to breastfeed my girls.
2. When I was born the doctors had to break my mother's tailbone.
3.  My favorite meal ever is a hoagie, salt & vinegar chips, and Pepsi on ice.
4. I feel most loved when someone affirms something I do.
5. I never want to have a big house.
6. I think 18 is way too young to decide on a lifelong career.
7. If I could pick another career I would teach children with autism or behavioral problems.
8. If I could pick a career after that, I would be a midwife.
9. I am not sentimental.
10. I wish more people were more honest.
11.  I wish less people were offended by others honesty.
12.  I wish people were less defensive and would suck it up and admit they have faults.
13.  If I could only plant one thing in my garden for the rest of my life, it would be basil.
14.  I think I can count on my fingers the numbers of times I've worn make up in my life.
15. One of my favorite things to do is cook with my husband.
16.  I would rather lead 20 kids than try to blend in with 20 adults.
17.  I love to sleep.  Alot.
18.  I have a tattoo and will never get another one because man, that hurt.
19. I wish I liked church more.
20. My favorite kind of food is tapas.
21. I have a handful of OCD tendencies.
22. I like things to happen in even numbers.
23. When I was young my brother would punch me once and wait for me to punch myself again to make it even.
24. I count bites when I eat.
25. I count the letters in your sentences when you talk.
26. I wish I knew more about you but I'm too busy counting when I should be listening.
27. I have a short bucket list.
28. Item #1...to see Handel's Messiah performed live
29. Item #2...to witness the northern lights in Alaska or Canada
30. Item #3...to have a breakfast nook in my house
31. I like to get rid of things.  I take boxes to thrift stores monthly.
32. When I was a child I played a game called "layaway."
33. I don't plan on dying with any secrets.
34. I have the entire Creedence Clearwater Revival album collection on vinyl.
36. I grew up listening to the Beatles.
37. I only have a handful of friends and don't really care to make many more.
38. I judge people way too quickly.
39. I have been to Jamaica, Germany, Ireland, and Greece.
40. I have been to a topless beach.
41. I truly believe in "when in Rome, do as Romans do."
42. You heard me.
43. I have been to San Francisco, Portland, Chicago, NYC, New Orleans,  Asheville, and D.C.
44. My favorite place in the world is anywhere in the presence of Mt. Hood.  I have never seen anything so majestic.
45. I have three best friends and not a single one is anything like me.
46. I usually feel misunderstood.
47. Talking and noise make me tired.
48. I have antibodies that make my thyroid work too fast and antibodies that make my thyroid work too slow.
49. I'm not easily embarrassed.
50. I don't like to read.
51. It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud.
52. I would be a happier person if I could "check out" for about 10 minutes every couple hours.
53. I've seen Ozzy Osborne in concert.
54. I believe in the importance of sitting down at the kitchen table to a homecooked meal.
55. I like watching football.
56.  I am easily distracted.  If there is a noise, I probably didn't hear you.
57. I love hymns.
58. One of my favorite noises is hearing Chris laugh.
59. I will never forget the first time I heard Isis' voice.
60. I'm easily annoyed by stupid people.
61. I have personal space issues.
62. I drink coffee in the morning to wake up and coffee in the afternoon for the sweetener.
63. Shopping makes me irritable.
63.  The best meal I've ever eaten in my life was Indian cuisine in Asheville N.C.
64. Sometimes to relieve stress, I take off my shoes.
65. I don't know how to dive.
66. I don't know how to whistle.
67. I'm blessed to truly understand the term "a mother's love."
68. I had purple hair in high school.
69. In high school my father made me write a persuasive essay on why I should be able to go see The Grateful Dead.  I got to go.
70. So apparently I'm pretty persuasive.
71. Give me some money.
72. I think mothers should stop comparing themselves to other mothers.
73. I wish I had more time to practice random kindness.
74. Grace is one of my favorite things.
75. I'm scared to death to raise two teenage daughters.
76. I don't need to hear the details, just the facts.
77. I love to watch my kids be kids.  Isis sat on the couch in her fairy costume eating a bowl of chocolate chips with two bruised knees and dirty bandaid marks.  I wanted to be her.
78. I once sat through a two hour rain delay at a Phil's game just to watch my team lose on a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth.
79. Chris made me write that one.  I just wanted to get home and sleep.
80. I once went to the wrong airport for a flight.
81. I sleep with my hands tucked in my underwear.
82. I have no interest in learning to like seafood. I don't care if it doesn't take like fish.  I don't need that in my life.
83. I think the most beautiful song ever recorded is "Hallelujah" performed by Jeff Buckley.
84. It takes a lot to make me cry.
85. Unless I'm exhausted.
86. I try to look my children in the eye instead of just looking at them.
87. I'm not baptized.
88. I'm energized by silence.
89. I can honestly say I am happily married.
90. When I was little I pooped in my neighbors weeds and wiped with a giant leaf.
91. Some of my happiest memories involve the woods, Karla, and our dogs.
92. Chris wanted to propose to me on a hike.  I didn't want to go because it was raining.  He had to hold onto the ring for an extra week.
93. I peed my pants teaching my friend how to drive a stick.  We were 13 and my dad gave us his truck and just told us to stay in the field.
94. I peed my pants trying to catch crabs in Oregon.  I was 34.
95. I don't have many insecurities.
96. I didn't have a wedding cake. We served strawberry pie instead.
97. I shot a frog in the head with a bee bee gun.
98. I've had a woman buy me a drink. Chris was sitting next to me. Ackward.
99. I named my children after two people who mean a lot to me.
100. I hitchhiked a couple miles to a Lollapalooza show.

What a blog to start my morning!! Out of 100, the only two I didn't know were the last two. You hitchhiked????? Time for grounding!!!!!! Still love you! :)

Am I one of your 3 best friends? that's all i care about. HA. Also all the peeing and pooping info - TMI. I love this idea of 100 things that we need to know about you. I think everyone should do this. I'll make it my next blog item bc I wanna be more like my sister. Also I didn't see anything about living in apartments that we name, like Crack House, along with naming of the other tenants. As Alyssa said, this is just 1 of the many reasons why we love our Becky. BECKY!
