Here is Isis on her first day of preschool. You will notice she does not have a backpack on. She is not sitting on our front steps nor is she standing with her teachers. In an attempt not to stress her out or piss her off, I obliged when she wanted to stand in the middle of our kitchen. So here is my baby at the age of three, going off into the big life lesson called school...
Snacks
The children in Isis' school get to take turns bringing in a snack to share. It is a special day for them. They are deemed the "Top Banana" and get to don a monkey badge. They are the line leader for the day and everyone sings good morning to them. This is a very...big...deal. Isis gets to be the Top Banana tomorrow. I asked her what snack she would like to share with her friends. She had two suggestions...."flyswatters and beer." I got Corona.

Counting
Isis can now count all the way past thirteen. I am so proud. I heard her the other day and it went something like this. "One, two, three...ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, maids, a, courting!"
